How are chat ban durations decided?

Bans follow a fixed scale based on the breach and how many times it has happened.

Harassment or hate speech	7 days	1 month	Permanent

Spam and flooding have no warning step. The first breach is a 6-hour ban.

When a ban is applied, a system notice appears in chat showing the username, duration and reason.

A banned user can still read chat and use the rest of the platform normally. Only posting is blocked.
