How do I send a direct message?

Direct messages work between friends. There are two ways in:

Chat has a DM area where you can message anyone on your friends list
The Friends section of your profile lets you start a conversation directly

If the person is not on your friends list yet, send them a friend request first.

The 500 USD wager threshold applies to public chat only. Direct messages have no wager requirement — once someone is your friend, you can message them regardless of how much you have played.
