How does battle chat work?

Every battle screen has its own chat panel, open to both players and spectators.

Messages are tagged so you can tell who is who — a Player badge for those in the battle, a Spectator badge for those watching. Emoji reactions are supported.

Battle chat is separate from the main site chat and has its own panel within the battle.
